ABOUT

History of the Guild

XHSA started the day after the release of the very first Guild Wars.  At first, it was simply a gathering of random players that eventually became friends and made it a point to play together.  As the years passed more players joined them as the guild made their primary goal to complete and assist others in completing the hardest content the game had to offer.  Over 14 years later these ideals are what still drives this guild as we continue to reach out to people, build our community, and teach people how to best reach their goals.  With all the changes over the years the only thing that has remained constant is building a community and reaching out to others is what keeps the guild strong and enabled us to survive over a decade.

Voip

Here in XHSA we believe in promoting the social ties between all members, which is why we choose to use Discord instead of Teamspeak/Ventrillo/Raid Call etc.  While we mostly use voice chat during raids and fractals, the text chat is a fun place to be social and post images and links to share with others.  We will also occasionally do raid-fills or impromptu raid callouts using the @everyone or @here feature to notify members logged in who might want to potentially catch some raid time.  We also find that the phone app helps members who want to join more activities to keep up when they're away from their computer.

Activity Level

If you're looking for an extremely active NA guild XHSA can definitely live up to that. With 200 members or less we frequently have between 20-30 people online during the week, even sometimes into the late hours.  On weekends (and Fridays) this number is much higher at 40+ online during NA hours.

Current Content Focus

This guild is filled with members whose focus is on end-game PvE.  Raids are something that highly interest us.  Besides our full clear teams we also set up weekly challenge mote and achievement runs.  Tier 4 fractals and nightmare CM are also daily occurrences in the hours after reset.  Other than that you can always count on that we will also be focused and grouping for the most current living story or expansion content. We would like to bring many new players into the fold as well, so feel free to join us even if you don't feel you're ready for end-game yet.

Fractals

As an active guild we love our fractals! You'll see several T4 daily fractals run on an impromptu basis.  There are no requirements for these except proper AR. No matter how new you are don't expect to be carried without AR unless it's specifically offered, but no one will really ask you to be experienced as long as you come properly geared.

Raids

We do NOT require you to be a raider to join our guild, but it is currently a focal point of our guild. We currently maintain a pool of roughly 40+ raiders that meet experience and DPS requirements that include static teams and raid achievement runs.  Usually all of our runs happen during NA prime time.  Although we do have casual Friday runs, it is important to note XHSA is not a training guild.  We were at one time a training guild and after about 8 months found that it does not produce skilled and motivated raiders that can thrive without having their hand held.  We are very proud to have raiders that are independent, self motivated to constantly expand their skills, and have from the ground up experience.

Our Guild Hall

We have claimed the Windswept Haven guild hall. The guild is currently at max level so our guild hall has all the upgrades including an arena, gathering nodes, and highest level free Tavern Buffs including: Karma, XP, WXP, Gold Find, etc.

Guild Missions

Guild missions aren't just missions here in XHSA.  They're a core focus as they serve as our community bonding time. This is where we pile into Discord and chat while we do missions and have fun together.  It also serves as our time to give announcements, thank you's, and even do Raffles. Guild missions are important to us and if you're online when they occur, on Fridays 1 hour after reset, you're expected to show up to support the guild.  For those interested in raiding, this could positively/negatively affect your scheduling depending on your attendance if online.  We're not an LFG guild, we want you to focus on community first!
