PREFERRED POWER CLASSES

Below are a list of recommended power classes and their benchmarks. Note that these are only our required benchmarks, and some of these builds can perform at a higher level with more practice.

DAREDEVIL

This is a very good power build that is either strong or very strong on all power bosses. In addition to very high damage it has good survivability (if dodges are timed appropriately) and excellent CC.  Some care must be taken when managing endurance however as to not run out of endurance when an attack needs to be dodged. Overall, the rotation is very flexible and has easy recovery from mechanics or mistakes.

Huge Hitbox: 27.6K

DRAGONHUNTER

A deceptively complex class as multiple damage modifies need to all be executed at the right time in a rotation, dragon hunter is an extremely strong dps class in capable hands.  DH does rely on other DH players in the same subgroup for retaliation sharing. If this is not available, bringing additional utilities to upkeep retaliation or not upkeeping at all will result in significant damage loss. This build has extremely strong burst and is very powerful on shorter DPS phases.

HOLOSMITH

While it is below average in terms of damage on the golem, power holosmith is still an extremely strong class.  A very flexible rotation allows it to continue dps through mechanics and mistakes with minimal hiccups. In addition it is a very durable class with excellent cleave and CC.

CHRONOMANCER (DOM)

This build requires very high slow uptime on the boss.  This requires that all the chronos run chronophantasma and use their shield 4 almost on CD and get a second cast of it. Alternatively it requires traits that apply slow on boss.  If this is not available damage on this build will drastically drop.

 

In addition this build has a very difficult to execute opener that essentially requires instant quickness. It is recommended to look at an alternative rotation at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2iTuWRldco for a more consistent opener.

Small Hitbox 28.3K

WEAVER (BTTH)

This is a build that is much stronger than the Fresh Air alternative on most fights and generally stronger than pure golem numbers indicate.  It allows for easy transition to Stormsoul for KC. In addition it has very strong burst which tends to work out better in practice for power fights.  Execute (+20% damage under 50%) is better in practice than simple statistics would lead one to believe due to longer phases under 50%.

DEADEYE

This once mighty build has been nerfed so much it is rarely worth playing compared to Daredevil.  While it is a solid build relative to other classes it is worse than Daredevil in pretty much every single way so it is recommended to look there first.  Relative to other builds it has high sustained damage but mediocre burst. It can bring good CC as well.

WEAVER (FRESH AIR)

While on golem this build has similar damage to the Bolt to the Heart version it usually performs worse in practice as it does not have the same level of burst. However there are still good uses for it as this variation has very strong CC available at all times and excellent recovery in rotation due to rotational mistakes or mechanics.  Out of all the weaver builds Fresh Air is recommended as the starting build as it should provide acceptable results on all power bosses.

SOULBEAST (SW/WH & GS)

Has high burst but overall poor sustained damage over a long period of time.  In addition rotation is very fragile and two important DPS traits rely on up-keeping high health.  In general will only execute well on bosses with short phase times and minimal mechanics. In general condi soulbeast will perform significantly better.

Remember these are minimum base line requirements.  You will be expected to improve as you become more experienced and may be held to a higher baseline if applying for a static spot.  If you meet the kill requirements and still can not reach these damage benchmarks we are willing to assist you. The easiest way to assist you is to record yourself doing the benchmark so we can offer advice on how to improve.  We have had members that have been in this situation and were helped to get above these marks.
