POLICIES

1 - Keep discussions civil.

Please keep discussions about religion, nationality, and politics civil.  If they become tense, please cut them out entirely.  If you get easily heated please avoid discussing these topics entirely. We do not filter out your topics of choice so be respectful about how you conduct yourself when discussing these topics.  With that in mind, do not intentionally provoke people.  I would like to extend this rule to include people outside of the guild.  Obviously you wont get along with everyone in GW2, but be mindful that you are wearing our tag and represent our guild. Please refrain from posting direct links or images of pornographic material, depictions of violence against children, cruelty to animals, or depictions of sexual violence to our Discord. We should not need to tell you what's universally unacceptable behavior.

2 - Maintain Majority Representation.

We zealously enforce a majority representation policy.  What majority representation means to us is that you should be representing our guild the vast majority of the time you spend online.  We do offer incentive for members that pledge 100% representation; please see our rank page for details.  If you choose to not represent XHSA for an excessive duration of time you will be removed from the guild - usually without warning.  We do not like to hound people to represent as we take excessive non representation as a statement of non-interest in our community.  We have a strong policy on community. If you decide after some time that you do not want to be a part of it please do not no-rep camp our roster.

3 - You are expected to attend Guild Missions if you are online.

If you are a member of XHSA online during guild missions on Friday you are expected to attend and we do watch for people who do not. This is an important night for the community as it gives everyone a chance to interact with each other.  So please, come out and support the guild.  Unless arrangements are made with the leader, habitually skipping guild missions while online will negatively impact any preferred status and benefits and may result in the removal from the guild. [Guild Missions take place on Fridays 1 hour after reset]

4 - No elitism.

While we often make jokes calling each other baddies etc, and we try to stick to optimal builds, gear, and rotations during raiding - we are not an elitist guild.  If you are an elitist type, please keep it to yourself, as we have many players from many walks of life and we're here to help them not judge them and tear them down.  Keep in mind this does not mean you cannot have an opinion and voice it, only that you should be open minded to alternative and non-meta approaches to activities as every group has different needs .  Calling members noobs or other belligerent names and behavior is a quick way to get yourself kicked.  This is not to say you cannot give your friends shit, but be considerate of your tone.

5 - No spoilers!

No spoilers if the content is still on the hype train!  Obviously there is a reasonable time in which to assume that the content is okay to discuss. Just try to use your best judgment.  No, not all of us care about spoilers, but enough people in general do that you should be considerate.

6 - Do not abuse our ranking system.

Here in XHSA we like to reward players who are committed to our guild with more privileges as they rank up.  Our Agent rank requires a pledge of 100% commitment to representation (except for short usage of personal guild banks.)  Abusing this to temporarily gain privileges and then going back on your Rep commitment shortly after will get you kicked.

7 - Do not take, replace, or remove decorations you did not place.

100% rep members can fully participate in the decoration process.  This means we all need to respect each other's space. Members are not to remove decorations to place elsewhere that they did not place themselves.  Members should also not place decorations in the main area that are excessively noisy or impede main paths.

8 - Do not use our guild as an LFG.

Please do not use our guild as an LFG. We do not mind you playing with other players or other guilds, but using our guild as an LFG to pull people into activities organized by other guilds violates our quality over quantity membership policy.  We are not warm bodies and fillers for your alt guilds so please do not treat our roster as such.  This is not to say you cannot play with guild members outside of our guild activities.  Only that you should be mindful not to openly recruit in guild chat for another guild's activities or attempt to poach members to another guild.

If you're unsure if what you're doing may violate our policies, or if you need us to elaborate on any of them, please feel free to contact us!  We are always more than happy to clarify or even explain why these policies are important to us.
