RANKS & PROMOTIONS

Director

It is the role of the Director to dictate what direction the guild will be taking and hold the guild’s interests above all others.  It is the duty of a leader to instate rules and policies that will preserve, protect, and further the vision of the guild’s direction and enforce these equally without personal bias.

Deputy Director

The Deputy Director is there to assist the Director and offer advisement in all matters social and administrative. In the Director’s absence the Deputy Director is the acting leader of the guild and is able to perform all duties and make administrative decisions.

Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff’s role is to execute all administrative duties related to the internal management of members and recruitment initiatives.  This is the main administrator for managing recruitment, answering prospective member inquiries, attendance, roster related duties, and ensuring compliance of our rules and policies.

Senior Officer

Our senior officers are highly skilled, highly confident members both in game play and leadership ability.  These officers are responsible for leading, creating requirements, and advising members on activities with a high skill and commitment demand such Raids and/or WvW.  To maintain this rank Senior Officers have to be active in the activity they were promoted to manage,  regularly organize activities that promote our members progression in these activities, in addition to having a professional, respectful, and patient attitude.

Officer

These officers are members that have become socially centric within our community and assist leaders in managing members in activities.  Their role is leading teams in non-raid based activities such as Guild Missions and assisting with contacting accepted applications.  To maintain this rank officers must regularly make guild missions.

Agent

These are members that have pledged 100% representation and maintain it.  With this rank comes increased privileges such as decorating the guild hall and activating guild missions outside of our designated time shall they miss them.  This rank also comes with free raffle tickets, bonus winnings for winning weekly giveaways and are permitted a 3 month inactivity before being removed from the roster.

Associate

These are members that have shown they are active after their initial recruitment but are not 100% rep members.  they are considered full and valued members of the guild despite there non-100% rep status.  They are also eligible to participate in raffles, win giveaway items, and take the 100% rep pledge if desired.  These members are allowed 1 month of roster inactivity.

Initiate

These members are newly recruited and are waiting out the probationary period to become an associate.  Initiates must be active for two weeks to be eligible to be promoted.  This promotion happens automatically on the 1st of the month proceeding the completion of these two weeks.  If we find that this member has not been active the vast majority of those two weeks we may hold off on the promotion.  If we find that the member just simply hasn't logged or represented the guild since they been recruited they may be removed.

Alt Account

This is a rank to keep track of guild member's alt accounts that is not considered part of our member count.  To have an alt account added to the roster it must be actively played as we do not want to litter our roster.  If you have an alt account that you would like to keep on our roster inform one of the management personnel and we will have it added.

100% Representation Pledge (promotions)

This pledge may be taken by members that have been promoted to Associate status, and who wish to rep the guild 100% of the time.  By pledging you are agreeing to stay represented at all times.  The only exception is for personal guild banks, while only in banking areas. You must remember to switch back and try not to AFK while not representing. To make the pledge, please set all your characters to represent and mail our Chief of Staff or Deputy Director with your account name, intent to pledge, server, indication of setting all your characters to rep XHSA, and stating if you do have a personal guild bank.  (Account name should be done in the "AccountName.####" format please.)

You should only take this pledge if you are serious about keeping it.

This is not something you can openly step in and out of.   We realize that sometimes you can forget to switch back after using a guild bank.  However, we take this pledge very seriously as its purpose is to symbolize a status of our most committed members.  We will not let people trivialize it.  Once you've shown clear intent on breaking your pledge, or repeatedly forget to swap back after using a bank, you can expect it to be very difficult to be able to pledge again.  We consider breaking your pledge with no notice very disrespectful to our community and could end up in your removal.  If you take this pledge and back out shortly after, we will assume that you are abusing the system and remove you.  So once again, you should only take this if you are serious about keeping it.  If something comes up please give advanced notice.

Inactivity Management

We are very meticulous about keeping an active roster.  We will remove people for their allotted inactivity time or just general lack of participation in the guild depending on our current population situation.  We do not give exception to the inactivity requirements for any reason simply because we can not keep track of everyone that goes on a vacation or extended absences, and also because some people just do not come back when they say they will.  Granted that people go inactive all the time, anyone removed from the guild for inactivity is always welcome to reapply.
